The Tang Special Annual Lecture in Archaeology
The mission of the Tang Special Annual Lecture in Archaeology is to disseminate up-to-date information about the most important archaeological discoveries made in China each year. In this way, the Tang Center serves as a critical window to current archaeology in China for Western audiences.
Each year, the Tang Center selects one of the most outstanding archaeological projects and invites the archaeologists directly responsible for the discovery to deliver this special lecture at the Tang Center. Leading archaeologists in the relevant fields in the United States serve as commentators to discuss the importance of the discovery and to help the audience explore ways to understand its long-reaching impact.
The lectures are open to students, scholars, and the public members of the Tang Center.
